Monday!

We are having trouble with connecting to the Internet and getting pictures up. The last few days have been great. The teen rally/conference was exciting. By the last day likely 185-190 teens from the churches in the area. Pastor DJ did a great job preaching and the games were fun. The last night they had frozen chocolate covered bananas for a treat. They were yummy.

Church was great. They have a beautiful building and nice people. We sang our Day by Day song and helped teach Sunday school and children's church. There are lots of kids in this ministry. PAstor Matt preached a powerful sermon even though I don't have any idea what it was about!!!

Last night we treated the Hope kids to a pizza dinner that we shared with them. We played for hours outside. There were squirt guns. The kids would say, "hold your hands up!" and shoot us with the water.  Before long out came buckets and drenchings!  We played basketball and soccer and baseball. They have such a lovely huge area on the beautiful church property to play in. The kids were wearing our VBS shirts and looked adorable. Adults were treated to Ms Amy's stories about several of the kids lives and how the home operates. This was a fun and rewarding visit. We will all be praying for the funds to put up the second large cottage. We have seen first hand the need and the blessing of a stable safe and happy home for the kids.  A special treat was being able to talk to them as they are bilingual. The tiny ones do speak a bit of both Spanish and English at the same time!

We will have a catered all you can eat taco dinner tonight and our close out devotions.  I look forward to hearing how God has worked in each one of our team members lives.

This morning we are off for our free day. Waterfall cave tour, bbq chicken lunch, and zip lining. Carlos, negotiated a great price for our group. We are taking some of the Hope kids with us.  Sam is here with his family and some of his people will meet us there. It's hot and sunny. Everyone is psyched for a fun day. We have worked so hard and I'm happy we can relax together.
