So today was our first day at the downtown church! We had around 130 children show up to a church that only had two small rooms. We set up a tent and a tarp outside and had a very hot and sweaty opening assembly. We dearly missed the first church we did VBS at which had an air conditioned sanctuary. Game time today was on a concrete basketball court that was 2 blocks away from the church. We would use the bus to send each age group to the game circle. The concrete was nice compared to the dirt we had to play in at the first church. We were also blessed with a megaphone, which will hopefully mean I won't lose my voice. It started to rain towards the end of game time, but thankfully we were able to finish the games. We are all doing good but please continue praying for strength and energy. All of us are exhausted and in need of rest. Thank you for all your support and prayers.
