Honduras!  Only 23 days away from flying.  I'm late getting this blog started...taking almost a month long trip in April with my Honey to Myanmar did put me a bit behind...but no worries because here we are!  Ready to record the amazing ways that we know God will work.

This team of volunteers is HUGE!  29 members in all - nicely balanced between male and female, younger and older. We will be helping veteran Baptist Mid Mission's missionary, Sam Conover in San Pedro Sula.  We will do a VBS at his Mother church and his new downtown ministry.  Then we will move over to El Progresso and assist Matt Goins with his Teen conference.  We are looking forward to getting to know the kids at Hope of Honduras Children's home.

Our very first VBS mission trip was held at Sam's church 13 years ago. We followed three weeks of construction by CWE.  Part of our team was high school students: Sarah and Stephen Peterson, Chris Kravitz, Jennifer Himes, Tom Pina, Amanda Avriett, Jeremy Beaudry, Jon Powell, Laura March, and Jacob Galster...now all grown up with children of their own. Sniff...sniff... Sarah will return with us on this trip as game director!

Our team of 29 has been meeting once a month since January.  We are close to being ready, not quite there yet, but almost.  We have a meeting this Sunday and much to accomplish during it.

Whose going?  The first picture was back in January and we had a few unable to stay part of the team...

We will be thankful for the gift of your prayers for us as we continue to prepare...23 days and counting.
