We Made It!

We arrived in Honduras with all our luggage and met up with our two cooks, Ginger Edwards and Mary Pyle.  Praise the Lord for making amazing time to the church with a hour and half to set up. It was exciting to see all the work the Nationals did to help, before we arrived. The stage looked beautiful, their church ladies we sitting at tables ready for registration, and the games circle was ready in a shaded area. One of my favorite parts of the first day was seeing all the children piling out of the church (school) bus and running into the church court yard for VBS. Opening assembly went smoothly.  the church members and children were enthralled and specially enjoyed Austin's mime skits.  The day came to a close with 20 church translators,  numerous moms with babies, 28 sweaty Americans, and 125 children in attendance.   😀

We made it through the the crazy drivers to our beautiful and unquiely decorated hostel.  We had and yummy dinner ready for us  and AC in our rooms. 😄  It is celebration weekend for Hondrous. We feel asleep to sound of fire works and party music. Oh, wait, and a rooster.  Every mission trip has to have an annoying rooster.

If you could pray with us as we go canvassing today by the mother church and by the city church(working  ahead for the second VBS next week).  Later this afternoon, We will start day two of VBS at th mother church. We are prepared and have enough works for many more children. Please , pray many more children will come to hear the glorious news of salvation. Please pray parents will att no parents program and new families will be reached.  Pray that we are encouragement to the church people.  They were friendly and welcomed us with warm smiles.  It was great encouragment to serve alongside with them.  Our teens enjoyed getting to know the teens of the church.  Day two adventures....here we come!
