Tuesday Tidbits!

This morning some of the team rested, and some of us went recruiting  and five of the guys helped Pastor Sam fix the blue awning. Yesterday, when the wind blew the blue awning would rise up in the wind, then it would drop down so low that Pedro el Pirata would have to stoop so the kids would be able to see him! We had 138 on Monday and 177 today!  We had to order an additional tent and more chairs.  Our bus driver and his cute son, Issac, went with us recruiting. He knows all the little alleys and places where kids live.  👭   We found lots of kids and recognized many that came today for the first time.

The kids seem to be loving everything VBS. Game time is Super exciting. The kids all push and pile into the bus for a two block ride. They unpile and race into the gated park. Then begins the cheering for their team, "ROHO!"  "VERDE!"  They get so excited when their team wins. There are smiles and laughs every where.

Today the clouds came just like a Florida summer rain. We got a few sprinkles and some breeze but no rain until we finished at 6:00. What an answer to our prayers.

It has been special to work together with the Nationals at both churches. We share in the hard hot work and rejoice together at all the cool, amazing things that are happening.

Continue to pray for us for good weather and safety. Thank you!

  1. "We share in the hard hot work and rejoice together at all the cool, amazing things that are happening." Like Mary said, "There is joy in serving Jesus!" Nothing better than telling people about Him!
